The new Headway HE2 Series Preamplifiers are further refined to perform beyond a cold replication of the pickup signal by generating a controlled amount of flattering, even harmonics, perceived as top end sparkle similar to adding an aural exciter or a warmed up valve stage.

Noise levels have now been squeezed to extraordinarily low levls with effectively zero hum and circuit noise at -97 to -98dBu.

HE2 Series pre-amps, such as the G.FEQ (Acoustic Steel Strung Guitar ), feature tight tolerance audio components for maximum life, solder resist glass fibre PCB's, in earthed metal enclosures. Each system is individually tested carrying test initials and serial number. A "slow power-on" circuit reduces potentially destructive plugging-in noise.

Headway tone circuits on fixed EQ or variable controls utilise interactive "Baxandall" designs for a more natural and musical response than graphic EQ. Unlike pseudo passive alternatives, Headway's unique all discrete component tone section offers up to 15dB of active cut and boost, centre detents, plus shelving on treble controls, equivalent to studio quality mixers. All tone and low body noise roll off parameters match each specified instrument.

HE2/G.FEQ STEEL STRUNG ACOUSTIC GUITAR

Instrument-specific fixed midrange cut (similar to the popular "smile"-shaped graphic EQ) and steeper body noise cut. Supplied bolted to a quality, European-made end-pin jack socket with quick-change facility.

HE2/G.FEQ - TS STEEL STRUNG ACOUSTIC GUITAR TWIN SADDLE

As above, with dual pickups.

HE2/Bz.FEQ BOUZOUKI

Optimised voicing for Celtic Bouzouki, Octave Mandola / Octave Mandolin with low "G" string or tuned down to bottom "A" string.. Excellent feedback rejection and tone.

HE2/B.FEQ ACOUSTIC BASS GUITAR

Full range 4 string sound with rounded even bottom end. Also suits 5 strings low "B"

HE2/DB.FEQ DOUBLE BASS TWIN PICKUPS

As above - Twin pickups under bridge feet. Price includes UK custom luthier fit of pickups to Double Bass bridge, after bridge is fitted to instrument. Pre-amp & battery holder attach to tail piece.

HE2/CE.FEQ CELLO TWIN PICKUPS

As above (DB.FEQ) but with pre-amp range optimised for cello.

HE2/G.NYL NYLON STRINGED OPTION

Based on the FEQ, but flat response across guitar range. Suits classical, flamenco and some steel-string fingerstyle player preferences for a more prominent midrange.

HE2/M.FEQ MANDOLIN

Incredible rejection of low feedback & handling noise, plus natural tone. Also removes excessive treble. Pickup fits under saddle, or under solid bridge, or in tongue/groove arrangement under pressure within or underneath ebony or rosewood bridge. Bridge may be available: ARCHM.

HE2/G.NAT NATIONAL RESOPHONIC GUITAR

Pickup fits semi-circular routed slot, parallel to edge of biscuit. Pre-amp voiced flat in mid-range for thicker tone. Supplied with internal battery bag, plus alternative External Loading, Pull Drawer Battery Holder, plus Lithium PP3 for 280 hours plug in time.

HE2/G.DOB DOBRO RESOPHONIC / TWIN PICKUP

Specification as above, except twin pickups for fitting each side of saddle screw under saddle.
